Akil embarked on his journey in the printing industry when he made Canada his home in 1989, gaining invaluable experience in a small Burnaby print shop. In 1995, he joined forces with his life partner, Shaheena, who brings a wealth of knowledge in software engineering to the table. Together, they laid the foundation for their first print shop, Coastal Printers. Their commitment to growth led them to acquire RDK Signs in Surrey in 2016, and grow that into a reputable and well known business. The Khaku family's legacy continues with the addition of their son, Muhammad, a graduate in Marketing and Operations Management in 2020 from Simon Fraser University, who has since contributed his expertise to a new venture specializing in promotional products and custom apparel, while also becoming a vital part of the Ultra Digital team.
